This is something I have wanted to do all my life, as far as I could remember. And now I have finally decided to do something about it. My first character that I created a comic strip that I let people read was a weird freak named The Schniz. People liked reading them, and it felt great. I ended up creating a whole slew of characters that ended up being called The Schniz All-Stars. This was all in High School. My senior year i was able to put The Schniz and his side kick Him in the high school newspaper. Originally me and someone else on the staff wanted to do a strip. James Murphy liked to draw as I did. We decided to collaborate and together we came up with.... uh, nothing. Nada, zip... So i decided that I would write and draw the strip, and then he would draw it and that would be our collaboration. He had no problem with it and neither did I. Our second semester I talked with him and decided that I would take over artistic duties. He was kinda busy being smart and studying and stuff.
So I started. My final issue of the school newspaper my senior year was very special with me, my Journalism teacher let me have a page and a half and I finished off by killing off The Schniz and Him. It was my sign off to High School. After that (7 months later) I joined the NAVY. But throughout the time I have been in, I have written many strips and drawn many jokes for my friends. I love the feeling of producing something and people getting a kick out of it. So after talking to my wife, she encouraged me to do this. So I decided to team up with Zerep Productions and be a subdivision of them. A little step up on the networking. Do my thing while collaborating with them. Because as i have found out throughout the years, working with people always helps the brainstorming. So METAL JAW COMICS is here and gearing up for a full launch soon.
Now there is a lot more to the story of the origin to Metal Jaw Comics and to characters such as Josef Midnite, Boomerang Rabbit, and my personal favorite, SAMSON BURN.
So this is a little taste of the origin... I will put more out there as I get to it. But until then, keep it real.
