A Difficult Decision

After conversing with my brother yesterday about story concepts and ideas for what is going to be produced in Metal Jaw Comics, I have come to a hard decision I had to make. One of the characters I was going to use in my comics was going to be one of my firsts. The Schniz is someone I created when I should have been paying attention in school. I was able to use this character when I was allowed to submit a comic strip to my high school newspaper. The strip was called "The Schniz & Him." It wasn't very funny to tell you the truth, because of the newspaper; I wasn't using the humor that I had started him off with. During the second semester, I went away from the few panel gags to present a storyline that incorporated all of the things we as seniors had voted on for our class representation. Ultimately I ended the story with a page and a half send off that had the two main characters sacrificing themselves for the world. Since then I have tried to come up with ways to update and change my character. All being failures in my eyes. So I have decided that I am not going to utilize this character in anything I am putting on this site. It was very hard to say that to myself, but I think that it is best for me seeing as how I want Metal Jaw Comics to succeed. Maybe one day I will redraw some of the old strips as a sort of retro thing, but I'll have to see. So goodbye Schniz... practically nobody knew ya.
