Great weekend and some realization.
Me and my family had a great time this weekend spending time together and getting to know our neighbors. But through the weekend I was able to do some reflecting. I took a look at my process for creating one of my strips. From beginning to end product. The plotting and sketching part are fine to me. Getting to the finished product is what's getting me. I've never called myself a professional artist, but after finishing up this last strip for Tuesday, I realized that my presentation can be worked on. Now know that I am and always will be my worst critic. And with this, if I wasn't, I would never have started this strip. My biggest problem I have is the consistancy of the characters. After finishing this last strip up, I saw there was none... at least with the Zombie... I can get away with the Ghost cause he is a ghost. I have looked up techniques and practices of other artists and what not, and I now have some tools to correct that. I am mainly writing this to let you all know that this will always be a work in progress and it will only get better, I promise. I also wanted to just thank everybody who has taken the time to check this site out and leave comments and reactions. It really helps. Thanks.
